Flow CAE Level 64, 65
Description:
This position is part of a world-wide design flow development team. A
person in this position is responsible for engineering
responsibilities in design flow development, design flow optimization
and design flow testing. Specifically, this position will include the
following responsibilities:
(1) Working with the design flow development team to optimize the
design flow to meet specific criteria; build comprehensive testing
and reporting structures for the design flows and mechanisms to
perform these optimizations and provide the reports;
(2) Update and manage comprehensive testing system for the design
flow and work with the development team & R&D to resolve issues;
(3) Assist the flow development team and the flow support team in the
creation of design flow user documentation, application notes and
automation guides;
(4) Application of design tool knowledge in resolving library and
technology files issues for design flows;
(5) Coordinate with and develop strong relationships with technology
foundry for the resolution and optimization of the design system;
(6) Coordinate with and develop strong relationships with Synopsys
Application Consultants and Synopsys Software product CAEs and the
other design flow teams;
(7) Develop and drive new design flow innovations to solve customer
specific problems; (8) Provide project-level leadership to complete

design flows, VLSI design, and/or CAD engineering. Knowledge of
competitive EDA tool products and product knowledge in any of the
areas of Synthesis, Simulation, Verification, Place and Route, Design

Description:
Responsible for overseeing the technical support of flow engineers.
Establishes operational objectives and assignments, and delegates
assignments. Ensures engineers are current with the latest upgrades
and/or new releases. Manages activities of significant functional
areas through subordinate managers or exempt specialists who exercise
full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
Determines functional organizational structure and objectives to
maximize productivity and results. Has overall responsibility for
developing and administering schedules, and performance standards for
the flow team. Responsible for hiring new staff, making project
assignments, setting individual development goals and appraising
work. Manages hiring, skill development and performance to meet
business needs. Able to participate in business development
