This is a development engineer position. Application Platform group is
responsible for design and development of software products such as
Application Server and Web Server, which are critical infrastructure
components of Enterprise application deployment. The candidate will be
part of the team developing administrative and management software for
these infrastructure products.

This position is in SWI Sustaining Quality Engineering organization.
Selected candidate will be responsible for test automation, execution
and other quality engineering tasks related to various SWI products.
Job Description

The candidate must be passionate about technology, user experience and
software testing. The job responsibility mainly involves:
- Review design & functional specifications
- Develop functional tests and test scenarios for new feature/service
pack release of a product
- Participate in test automation using frameworks
- Execute tests and report results
- Possess knowledge of defect tracking and management tools
- Participate in product documentation & release notes review - Work
closely with development, sustaining, documentation & other QA teams
- Carryout performance testing, code coverage, stress testing etc
- Knowledge of automation tool like SILK Test will be an added advantage
Mandatory:
- Possess good Knowledge of Java, Perl and shell scripting
- Past experience in testing middle-ware products in unix environment
- Possess Good written and oral communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must be graduate in engineering or computer applications
with strong logical and analytical skills and must have 2-4 years of
software testing experience
