There is a requirement for a Tech Lead in my team in Yahoo Bangalore

 

Details are as follows :

 

 

Position         : Tech Lead

 

Experience    : 8+ yrs

 

Mandatory Skills:  

 

Excellent C++ and UNIX expertise.
Solid data structures and algorithms.
Good at solving complex problems.
Experience with designing systems dealing with huge data sets in a C++/Unix environment.
Passion to manage and process huge data volumes with significant attention towards scalability and performance.
Good understanding on RDBM concepts and experience working with a commercial database like Oracle is a plus.

Excellent communication skills.
Experience in team building and competency building.
Knack for knowledge dissemination contributing towards knowledge initiatives.

 

Desired Skills:

 

Experience mentoring/managing small teams.
Excellent communication skills.

Knack for knowledge dissemination contributing towards knowledge initiatives.

 

 

Preferred level of Education:

 

BTech/BE and above

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable and deployable frameworks/products that facilitate – Acquisition, storage, retrieval and exploration of data feeds to the end user.
• Providing the best design to manage terabytes of data everyday to extract information from it.
• Take up the challenge to design efficient and scalable systems processing the largest data set in the world.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team comprising of the best engineers in the industry, work on competency building and enhancing delivery capacity.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for technical excellence.
