Primary Responsibilities:
• Architect, design and develop products that enhance
• Conduct feasibility studies and prototypes for integrating latest J2EE and server side technologies in the Xora product
• Lookout for latest server focused technology trends and standards
• Produce high quality design and code without much supervision and on-time delivery
• Mentor other team members on latest technology
Related Experience / Skills Required:
• Masters in computer science with 10+ years of progressive industry experience
• 3 or more years in architect or technical lead role
• Strong server side Java experience with J2EE in building carrier grade platform/applications
• Strong experience with developing N-tier web-based application
• Strong experience with database development, JDBC and SQL
• Strong experience with OOP and UML
• Strong experience with improving performance and scalability of server applications
• Strong experience with caching techniques, distributed caching and caching tools
• Strong experience with performance and monitoring tools
• Experience with evaluating open source technologies and tools and putting them to use
• Experience with building, deploying and using Web Services, XML and XML parsers
• Experience with Unix and Windows development in C/C++
• Experience with Ajax, JavaScript, DHTML, Flash/Flex, JSF a great plus
• Experience with SaaS applications a great plus
• Experience with mobile development (J2ME or others) a great plus
• Experience with MySQL a great plus
• Must be adept at experimenting with new technologies and quick prototyping
• Project or people management experience a plus
• Must have excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, leadership, and problem solving skills
