Job Title: Manager GL

Position overview:

Manage General Ledger and Fixed Assets Accounting group based out of Bangalore supporting all the Global VMware locations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of professionals responsible for General Ledger and Fixed Assets Accounting
• Manage preparation of company-level (monthly and quarterly) account reconciliations
• Manage preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end close reporting (audit and tax)
• Perform other fixed asset duties such as a coordinating for physical inventory of fixed assets
• Prepare ad-hoc management reports
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and financial records
• Manage preparation of inter-company accounting & accounts reconciliation
• Manage monthly close process
• SOX compliance activities
• Assist with monthly analytics for month end review by management
• Ongoing participation in Oracle testing cycles.
• Provides input on employees performance to the Manager for performance evaluation
• Provides timely and effective feedback on the progress and facilitate dialogues for improvements
• Identify soft skill requirements of the team members and encourage continuous learning
• Responsible for maintaining SOX compliance


Education Required:

• CA

Experience Required:

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in General Ledger and Fixed Assets Accounting
• Experience in Oracle financials a must
• Experience in General Ledger and Fixed Assets Accounting in Multi-national companies preferred
