Manager – Taxation is expected to be primarily responsible for both Direct and Indirect Tax Compliance and also actively participate in tax planning for the Company by providing inputs for decision making and analytical support to the tax function of Finance & Accounts Department. He will assist the Senior Manager- Taxation in preparation and finalization of various Tax reports directly responsible for remittances and ensure total compliance of various Tax Laws & Tax Audit requirements, Like Income Tax, Service Tax, Central Excise, Customs and also VAT Acts which are applicable to the company and ably assist the tax function in respect of International Tax matters like Transfer Pricing issues and proper tax treatments in case of remittances to non-residents and related matters

Responsibilities:
The Manager – Taxation will be typically responsible for Direct & Indirect Taxes on following matters:

Direct Taxes:
• Ensure total tax compliance like: TDS Deduction, timely Payment to statutory authorities in the prescribed mode, Periodic E-Filing etc.
• Finalise Annual TDS workings & Issue of TDS Certificates for all payees within statutory due-dates and internal target dates.
• Preparation of Advance Tax & FBT Calculations, liaison with Consultants for vetting the workings, arrange for timely periodic remittances of the same with statutory authorities after finalisation of the amounts internally and in line with advice from tax counsel.
• Responsible for taking cognizance any notice, routine or surprise like scrutiny, assessment, survey etc and prepare relevant submissions in consultation with superiors in the department and liaise with tax consultants for the same and provide required documents for representations and keep tab of iteration thereof and report to reporting officers.
• Preparation of documents for Tax Audit with proper planning and in consultation with financial statutory audit team and liaise with tax auditors for timely finalisation of the same and filing of the same with tax authorities
• Involve as key person in all audit exercises as regards tax compliances and queries related thereto
• Support superiors in matters like Compliance of Transfer pricing provisions, provide requisite information to TP Accountant for the issue TP Report & relevant certification/documentation.
• Obtain Tax Deduction Certificates, etc and prepare Corporate Tax Return and ensure timely filing of the return after proper vetting by Consultants.


Indirect Direct Taxes:
• Timely remittance of periodic Indirect Taxes like Service Tax, VAT & filing of all relevant periodic Returns etc.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date records as required under law and claim necessary input credits and Prepare Periodic Returns and subject the same for vetting by tax counsel well in advance of statutory due-date and internal target dates.
• Verification and timely Payment of Customs Duty other levies etc and give necessary tax. Accounting and maintain all documents and comply with procedural requirements
• Responsible for taking cognizance any notice, periodic audits scrutinies, anti-evasion proceedings, show cause notices etc. and prepare relevant submissions in consultation with superiors in the department and liaise with tax consultants for the same and provide required documents for representations and keep tab of iteration thereof and report to reporting officers.
• Adherence to other relevant formalities, procedures, registrations etc as and when required due to :
• change in law.
• new business activities which Company would venture into in future.


Common Responsibilities for both Direct & Indirect Taxes include:
• Update on changes in tax laws, in general, and those impact the company's business, in particular, and keep informed, all concerned, after deliberating with superiors and consultants.
• Attend seminar and conferences on tax subjects and summarise the takeaways to relevant team members of finance function for knowledge enrichment and proper compliance by all concerned.
• He will be one of the key tax personnel and responsible manager within finance department and shall support finance, in general, and tax function, in particular, on all relevant topics, attend to common meetings (intra- deptl. and commercial department) and understand role on responsibility of finance function as a whole and more particularly, tax function & work towards decisions taken in the field of taxation.
• Experience in Corporate Direct & Indirect Taxes & sound knowledge of accounting & tax function in mid-size corporate.

Expert knowledge of :
• direct & indirect taxes,
• requirement of tax audit
• sound knowledge of statutory financial audit and internal audit requirements,
• Good knowledge of Indian GAAPs

• Prior experience in representing the organisation before the statutory authorities including appearing for assessment would be a definite advantage.

• Experience with SAP ERP environment is a clear advantage

1) Mainframe Operating Systems Engineer:-
- Minimum of 5 years direct hands-on experience performing z/OS systems programming maintenance/installation, JES2, IBM program product installations, and independent software vendor (ISV) installations.
- Thorough knowledge of SMP/E desired.
- Experience with IBM RACF, CA/ACF2, or CA Top Secret desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills, communications skills, and ability to work as a team member are essential.
- Project management skills.
- DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: z/OS, zLinux, SMP/E, Monitoring Tools, and Problem Solving Tools, Sysplex, Open System skills (Unix, Linux), zVM EDUCATION: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field. (Or equivalent experience).

2) IMS System Programmer:-
- 3 or more years experience installing, configuring, implementing, tuning, and debugging IMS in an I.T. environment.
Hands on experience performing IMS systems programming in a z/OS operating system environment using JES2.
- Maintenance/installation of IBM program products, and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) software.
- Ideal candidate to have three or more years experience installing, configuring and implementing IMS in a large IT environment. Thorough knowledge of SMPE desired.
- Experience with CA/ACF2 desired. Strong interpersonal skills, communications skills, and ability to work as a team member are essential.

3) Storage Specialist :-
- Storage Specialist is responsible for implement, configure, maintain and troubleshoot zSeries
- Experience in implementing storage in a large banking environment
- Experience in enterprise storage technologies such as SAN and NAS etc
- Good working knowledge of enterprise backup technologies
- Working knowledge of z Series
- Assist in major projects that have a direct impact on the business such as large vendor solutions, Disaster
- Recoverability, Data Center move, or new storage equipment/solutions that roll onto the Data Center floor
- Create and update documentation that is relevant and important to the day to day operations of Systems Storage, examples are renaming of servers, trend charting, growth and capacity charting
- Experience in disaster recovery planning. Daily monitor and support Disaster Recovery solution. This involves keeping track of multiple mirrored volumes on- site and at the remote facility. Much preparation, documentation and storage knowledge is needed and used daily to facilitate a working Disaster Recovery solution
- Continually monitor storage activity by reporting, documentation, and general knowledge of day to day activities
- Experience in various storage architecture solutions, software, hardware, and other storage products
- Highly organized, with excellent prioritization, planning and time management skills
- Good understanding of ITIL principles in storage and capacity management process

4) Mainframe System Performance:-
- 3 plus years hands-on experience working with MVS/ZOS performance management area, able to handle complex performance situation, knowledgeable of using performance tools such as Omegamon, Epilog, Mainview, RMFMON, etc…. , willingness in taking on new responsibility.
- A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with WLM policy, deal with I/O subsystem and hardware performance issue, working knowledge and skill of extracting information form SMF and MICS/MXG database by using SAS.
- Hand-on experiences with MICS and MXG is a must, experience and knowledge to deal with DB2, CICS, MQ performance issues would be beneficial.
- Strong verbal communication skills are needed. The ability to relate technical issues to non-technical personnel would be helpful.
- Education: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or related field. (Or equivalent experience).

5) Mainframe DB2 - L3
- Installation of new software product versions/releases. Research and apply proactive software maintenance. Perform problem diagnostics and resolution. Monitor systems performance and tune when appropriate. Provide input to management on infrastructure architecture related issues. Use performance reports/metrics to identify improvement opportunities. Conduct Production Readiness Inspections of change events, assessing impacts and risks. Develop wellness check scripts, processes and procedures. Contribute to Root Cause Investigation. Document changes to infrastructure configuration. Update system Configuration and resource definitions when
required.
