2. Designation & Location: Accounts Manager, Nairobi
3. Specifications of position:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
assigned by the management
Prepare and maintain the books of accounts as per International Accounting Standards and as per the Laws of Kenya.
Preparation and timely submission of statutory returns to the Statutory Authorities not limited to PAYE, VAT, NSSF, NHIF, Income Tax Return & Annual Return
Preparation and timely submission of monthly financial reports
Preparation of reconciliation of Bank Accounts, Suppliers Accounts, Customers Accounts, Intercompany Accounts etc
Preparation and submission of weekly reports for outstanding receivables and payables
Follow up with customers and Account Managers for the receivables
Ensure timely payment of all dues to suppliers and other service providers
Ensure the preparation and payment of staff salary before end of the month
Ensure the implementation of proper internal controls and review the internal controls and its effectiveness on a regular basis
Liaise with Banks to ensure financial assistance for the operations
Preparations and presentation of books of accounts to Statutory Auditors and ensure the timely completion of Audit and filing of returns
Day to day administration
Any other responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
B.Com/M.Com with 4 yrs of experience in accounting
Expertise with MS Excel, Tally
Good written and verbal communication
Experience in a related industry would be a plus
