Manager - GL. - Leading BPO Chennai

we have an immediate requirement for the position of Manager - GL, Chennai.

The requirement details is as follows,

Client: A Leading BPO in chennai.

Experience

Desired: Candidates with 6 - 13 years of experience in GL process in a BPO or Manufacturing set up with experience in handling a team of min 50 - 60 members.

Shift: Day shift

Candidate Profile: 1) Hands on experience in General Ledger and intense knowledge in US GAAP.

2) Should have handled a team of min 50-60 members.

3) Strong knowledge of accounting principles, understanding financial statements & analysis.

4) Should have undertaken responsibility to report Financials and forecast for a company of turnover of about 5 to 10 Billion dollars.

5) Manage multiple GL processes, SOX knowledge.

6) Good written & oral communication skills.

Job Description:

1) Oversee the activities of the Accounting Department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, Weekly forecast, internal and external monthly financial statements, Monthly Forecast, 12 month rolling forecasts and annual audits

2) Closely monitor team performance, reward good performance and correct/prevent low performance, provide adequate training to ensure that the team has sufficient knowledge to deliver the results.

3) Establish complying with the requirements of and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value, including the Sarbanes Oxley Act

4) Ensure that the process escalations are handled on time.

5) Evolve process improvements by re-engineering the process and/or eliminating non-value process

6) Entire month end closing activities supervision and mentoring team leader and provide leadership training.

7) Perform quarterly/Annual performance appraisals for the team members.

8) Monitor the timely generation and circulation of reports to the management.

9) Mentor the team and guide them towards effective discharge of functions.

10) Handle escalations if any for the team members.

11) Training the team members on an ongoing basis for any new transitions.
