Description:
Financial Reporting is part of the Regional Control function within Group Operational Finance.
Financial Reporting is required to run, review and analyse various reports as part of the monthly closing process.
Most of the reports are run from GCRS, our Group Consolidation and Reporting System.
The Investment Banks GGL (Global General Ledger) is then used to analyse the detail behind the positions or variances which is seen in the GCSR reports.
In addition to the GCRS reports, Regional Control also has various other control reports that are used to further analyse or provide certainty on aspects of the close process. These are run in Business Warehouse and Business Objects typically.
The close period for the central team typically spans 12 working days including final work after our sign off There are some reports to run across various different legal entities, and some for the larger entities only The work of this role is largely running standardised reports according to check lists of reports and procedures on a daily basis during our close period. Running these reports daily and distributing to relevant users or clients, and in some cases drilling out the results further, manipulating the data, as well as investigating in other systems the detail behind balances or variances and providing this at the same time as the original report to the users / clients.
This role is likely to be on an earlier time zone than the London team by approximately 4 hours. This is
because the data is typically available in our systems by 5am London time (exact times to be analysed further).
This will allow reports to be available when users come into the office in London.
There is usually midday refresh producing data around 3pm London time, where a smaller subsection of thereports would need running again.
Requirements:
Experience Required and Desirable
SAP Business Warehouse Experience desirable
Business Objects Reporting Experience desirable
Accounting systems reporting experience or experience of reporting with large data volumes
Advanced Excel
Data manipulation
Ability to work through detailed task lists and procedures in a methodical manor
Ability to work to tight deadlines on a daily basis
